The first reason is London has one of biggest collections of masterpiece in the world! The second one is all these treasures can be seen for FREE!<br /><br />The British Museum is one of my favourite museums in London. Especially famous for its Egyptian Antiquity department, the British Museum has several "must see" departments. Among them are: Greek and Roman Antiquity, African, European, Islamic, Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean Departments...and far more.<br /><br />A museum full of treasures...<br /><br /><br /><br /></div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5109011236534349826" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; CURSOR: hand; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXCIKA1gYOpyCfz5tuAFO22AVW7HK4DJ4as-xkNImdrzYtbY0Z2PHl0HkGgSjuruazwIRFm9jpHzF-fy6HjLUH0s1P5c1wjRLXZFVRmAvuq-evAbDgRuTigT5a-7qKj_oFw__PNFTLT1k/s400/DSCN1015.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br />Foster's glass-covered court is one of the great achievement of contemporary architecture in the UK.<br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaCheKejxOt9AtrDkF_R6llWymn9-_bWYfsvyIr1sP9eqKaole2P-CmCyaz4Dg6RmtFIJrW6mV2brylc2-Uf26yFEpxoM94HUljXpdW9GQj13-ewo3_3NWUpWKWb7LRrkItvCNJ3alcNU/s1600-h/IMG_7127+finie.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5109013014650810386" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaCheKejxOt9AtrDkF_R6llWymn9-_bWYfsvyIr1sP9eqKaole2P-CmCyaz4Dg6RmtFIJrW6mV2brylc2-Uf26yFEpxoM94HUljXpdW9GQj13-ewo3_3NWUpWKWb7LRrkItvCNJ3alcNU/s400/IMG_7127+finie.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br />...and in the centre of the Great Court, there is the impressive Reading Room. How can we imagine a more eclectic city! Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is a centre and example for: politics, economy, culture, painting, architecture, gastronomy...and even town planning!! Once again: one of those european cities you can't get bored in.<br /><br />Those who like to go out will find all the hotels, restaurants, bars night clubs and concerts they are looking for.<br /><br />Those who enjoy cultural events can hardly be happier than in Barcelona. It is indeed a renowned and rich cultural centre of Europe. The city is famous for its architecture with in particular the famous Gaudi. But, painting connoisseurs won't be disappointed either: there are lots of museum. The Fundacio Joam Miro</span><span style="color:#ccccff;">, Picasso Museum </span><span style="color:#ccccff;">and Fundacio Antoni Tapies </span><span style="color:#ccccff;">are incredible. There is also the National Museum of Art of Catalonia</span><span style="color:#ccccff;"> and the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art</span><span style="color:#ccccff;">....and I don' talk about the exhibitions and other cultural events...<br /><br />...We should not forget that those who prefer football (the national sports in Spain) can't be disappointed either! There is indeed the FC Barcelona, one of the best football clubs in Europe, and its incredible Camp Nou Stadium! After winning the UEFA Champion's League in 2006, the FC Barcelona is now starting a new season with the " Fantastic four": Samuel Eto'o from Cameroon, Thierry Henry from France , Lionel Messi from Argentina and of course Ronaldinho from Brazil.</span><br /><span style="color:#ccccff;"></span><br /><span style="color:#ccccff;">And last but not least, not so many european cities can claim so many activities, treasures and at the same time sea, sun and beaches! Londoners know what I am talking about...</span></div>Melle Melhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13586339487151733836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8760973053243221905.post-51101720393026388602007-09-11T00:52:00.000+01:002007-09-11T17:02:21.873+01:00LONDON: CAPITAL OF GREAT BRITAIN<em>"You find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford"</em><br /><br />Samuel Johnson<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQuoF-CzRmhzCnvAuf3DEZw5igpVFbCqW5BCygeTLjKmvO6VNxHQCgJOf4QZAtGrsUn8jyk-g2faV9WBNQuFuVKiUioPEVnSdQg_QUUtugMhPsXbAmeJkB6G3a189ha-0m5BiRI6rPfmc/s1600-h/IMG_7292.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5108976614802976722" style="WIDTH: 383px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 278px" height="318" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQuoF-CzRmhzCnvAuf3DEZw5igpVFbCqW5BCygeTLjKmvO6VNxHQCgJOf4QZAtGrsUn8jyk-g2faV9WBNQuFuVKiUioPEVnSdQg_QUUtugMhPsXbAmeJkB6G3a189ha-0m5BiRI6rPfmc/s400/IMG_7292.JPG" width="442" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br />London is still this huge, fast-moving and exciting city.
